A cultural experience

For thousands of years, people have lived and worked in the East Devon National Landscape – shaping the scenery and stories we see today. Fossil hunters, farmers, smugglers, Romans and rebels have all left their mark on this rich landscape.

Ancient monuments, historic buildings, artefacts and local traditions offer a window into the past and reveal how generations of people have shaped East Devon’s landscape and heritage.
